Normally from 29 juin to 2 juillet : URBAKA, ( the festival of street in Limoges) presented a performance by Pooka yesterday evening (15 september) because one of the group's horses had been injured in July forcing the event to be rescheduled.
A fine evening on the banks of the Vienne in Limoges, lit by a little daylight at the start at 19h20 but progressively darker and darker as the evening progressed - difficult for photography.
Pooka was a highly original mix of theatre and circus. The public was seated on tiered benches in a circle around a central performance space with a corridor behind the benches but within the enclosure where the horses passed during the sections of horseback acrobatics. Cleverly thought out.
