From June 29th to July 2nd : URBAKA, the 33rd édition of the festival of street theatre in Limoges
I went to see and to photograph the events with some photo friends on Thursday 30 and Friday 1st.
According to the organisers : with over 30 seasons behind us, more than 200 000 spectators and 4000 artists from all over, Urbaka is a festival entirely free that takes place at the end of June over 4 days in the streets and squares of the city of Limoges.
We saw a wide range of events : theatre, dance, music and circus, almost all of very high quality, plus here and there, some real marvels, breathtaking !! I have tried to capture the essence of these events, often very late at night with almost no light. Here I share with you a selection of my favourite pictures from the two evenings.
